Stylized Character — character design
The goal was to create a hand-painted character portrait in one day—ended up taking two, including Shape Key animations.
I sculpted the bust in Zbrush, textured it in Substance Painter, and rendered it in Blender.

The character concept is generated with Midjourney. This concept in particular struck me because of the earrings' pinned in the skull, golden ‘coins’ pierced in the cheek bones and the white ears. Some interesting AI-’errors’.
The backdrop is generated with Midjourney as well.
Photoshop’s integrated AI tools enabled me to upscale the backdrop, to add depth of field on the image and to generate a depth map.
The depth map is applied on a subdivided plane in Blender to add depth to the backdrop, creating a paralax effect.
